Why I do what I do…
Hello, my name is Kavita. (I like to refer to myself as a, “rent a Grandma”)
I am a Mother of 3 grown and out of the house children which gives me ample freedom of flexibility for each client’s needs. I have lived abroad for over 25 years before returning to California in 2017. I speak fluent French and was a director of a photography/video company.
Once returning to the USA, I became a nanny of twins during a year and a half in which I found my love for helping families with their precious little ones.
I became a Certified Postpartum Doula (specializing in overnight care), I am covered by CARROT, up to date on my CPR training, lactation training and yearly trainings offered in Sonoma County.
As the years have gone by, I have streamlined my approach to a certain rhythm of caretaking which starts with gaining confidence, giving Mom help with self care and healing, and then pacing with sleep, feeding, and massage. The end goal is a well rested home with the confidence and strength to enjoy each step of their babies growth.
I have been wonderfully busy and definitely encouraged that this is the perfect path for me. Helping families to stabilize and rest is a very rewarding path. I have found my calling!
